Ambassador Cui Meets with Mayor Bowser of Washington D.C.

On June 3rd 2015, Ambassador Cui Tiankai met with Mayor Bowser of Washington D.C. They exchanged views on the exchanges and cooperation between China and Washington D.C. Minister Li Kexin and Minister Counselor Heng Xiaojun of the Chinese Embassy and Deputy Mayor Kenner and Secretary Vaughan of D.C.joined the meeting.

 

Ambassador Cui said that China attached great importance to the friendly exchanges and practical cooperation with D.C. As the capital city of China and the U.S., Beijing and D.C. enjoy unique advantage and broad space for exchanges and cooperation. The Chinese Embassy is willing to facilitate the cooperation between Beijing and D.C.

Mayor Bowser said that she attached great importance to the relationship with China. She expressed her hope to pay a visit to China at the earliest convenience to learn from China's experience in infrastructure and other fields and to further strengthen the sister city relationship with Beijing.
