Ambassador Qin Gang Meets with President of NCUSCR Steve Orlins

On August 19, 2021, Ambassador Qin Gang met with Stephen Orlins, President of the National Committee on United States-China Relations (NCUSCR).

 

Ambassador Qin spoke highly of the contribution made by the NCUSCR in fostering the development of China-U.S. relations over the years, and stressed that China and the United States are two major countries with interwoven interests. Both countries stand to gain from cooperation and lose from confrontation. It is hoped that the NCUSCR will continue to advance exchanges, mutual understanding and trust between China and the United States, and work for a constructive bilateral relationship.

On behalf of the NCUSCR, President Orlins extended welcome to Ambassador Qin for assuming office and said that a healthy and stable U.S.-China relationship is essential to the two peoples. The NCUSCR will continue to play an important role in promoting constructive relations between the two countries.
